Lal Bahadur College, Warangal is easily accessible to all as it is centrally located in an ideal environment between Hanamkonda and Warangal towns. The college has tidy natural surroundings with scenic beauty and picturesque atmosphere which promotes healthy attitude among the students.

The college was established in 1970 jointly by the Osmania Graduates’ Association and Exhibition Society, Hyderabad with two sections of pre-university courses in Arts & Commerce and one section of B.A & B.Com. The college was shifted to the present sprawling campus spread over an area of 25 acres in 1972.

The college has blossomed gradually by leaps and bounds over the years both in infrastructure and academic matters. It was upgraded into a Post Graduation Centre offering courses in Science, Commerce, Management and Computer Sciences. Keeping in view the growing importance of the mode of distance learning in the present context, the college accepted to have a study centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) (1987) and School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) of Kakatiya University (1991). In view of the vast importance of training for teachers, Lal Bahadur College of Education was established. Thus, the college is an excellent centre for formal and distance education and teacher training.

Commitment and dedication of the faculty is the main asset of the college. It is the only college where 95% of the faculty possess research degrees i.e., Ph.D & M.Phil. The college has another credit to its crowning glory. It is the only college in the state where ELEVEN faculty members have been honored with State Meritorious Teacher Awards by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Some of the faculty members are resource persons, delivering extension lectures in various organizations and academic institutions, members on Board of Studies, Kakatiya University, guiding the research scholars, paper setters etc. Many faculty members have published books and articles.

Osmania Graduates’ Association presents Gold Medals every year to meritorious students in each faculty to encourage the competitive spirit among the students. So far the college bagged 17 gold medals for obtaining ranks from the Kakatiya University.

The college has also started restructured courses like Poultry Science. It is the only college in India which is offering this course at U.G level. The college started a scheme for the Poultry students, “Earn While You Learn”. It is one of the few undergraduate colleges where campus recruitment takes place.

A UGC sponsored course in Biotechnology has also been started by the college. This not only provides exposure to the industry but also on job training to the final year Biotechnology students. The college has excellent alumni associations of Commerce and Poultry. These associations conduct various activities. They even support the financially weaker students by providing them scholarships.

Lal Bahadur College has been identified as one of the premier institutions of higher learning with a total strength of 2834. It has conducted several State level and National level Seminars. It is the first and the only affiliated Aided Degree College under the jurisdiction of Kakatiya University accredited with “A Grade” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
